Belize Fly Fishing
Our March 2023 trip to Belize, takes us to the El Pescador Lodge on Ambergris Caye, an Orvis 2022 Endorsed International Destination of the Year and Trip Advisor's 2022 Travelers' Choice recipient.
At El Pescador, anglers have the opportunity to achieve the ultimate dream - a Grand Slam of bonefish, tarpon and permit. Alongside the premiere fishing, the resort offers all-inclusive accommodations in their main loge and 8 private villas on a private beachfront location. Diving on the barrier reef or exploring the jungles, caves and ancient Mayan ruins inland are just some of the other experiences you can have when staying at El Pescador in Belize.
Patagonia, Argentina
In February 2023, our adventures took us to Argentina with Patagonia River Guides (PRG) for a stay at the Tres Valles Lodge in the Rio Poco Valley.
The Tres Valles Lodge is a 5-star, remote, all-inclusive lodging experience. Fly fishing guests have the opportunity to experience some exceptional wade fishing on small and intimate streams combined with some of the best still-water fishing in all of South America. Anglers can choose to wade more or float more and to fish a different river, spring creek, or lake daily and are matched with a professional guide and assistant guide each day. The Rio Pico Valley offers mostly rainbow and brown trout fishing, however just north of the valley some of the best brook trout fishing in the world can be found. Most river and spring creek fish average between 14 and 22-inches. Lake fish are harder to quantify but normally average between 22 and 26-inches. Some areas provide lots of action, while others require patience and stealth, both required to stick larger trophies.
